Personally, I thought you did an excellent job with this...and I love your Renji, but then mine's somewhat emotional as well.

I don't know, I don't think he's necessarily UNemotional; I just think he's spectacular at keeping those emotions carefully behind his face.

What I really liked about this fic, overall, is that you managed to write something where Rikkai is more that the big scary National champions, and that's so rarely done with any of the rival teams. And since Rikkai is one of my two favorites, I'm glad you did it with them.

i'm definitely inclined to believe that, too. i hope at least that by the time the yanagi/inui match ends, konomi-sensei gives us something that would support this...

I love how Renji's mountains of data collapsed into one quiet moment of simple faith.

and like Niou, I think it's great how the mighty Rikkai got together not as a team, but as a bunch of friends. even though 'there's nothing they could do' in the big picture, and I could feel their frustration, especially Yuki's at himself, the whole fic felt like a decent day out for them..

btw, you should know I was in stitches over your Jackal and Kirihara. they were delightfully outrageous with just enough sober moments to flesh them out. and of course i have a wonderful image of Kirihara slung over Jackal's shoulder like a sack xDD and nicking Jackal's soda..

finally, there's nothing wrong with SanaYuki (you know what, none of my favourite pairings are monogamous xP). it's classic how one is too clueless and the other is too proud to actually demonstrate any affection, but once one of them makes a tiny move the other responds immediately. yes, I LOVE THE ENDING. yes, Sanada is a dork. ace job. thanks for sharing!

none of my favourite pairings are monogamous

XD XD i haven't thought about my pairings yet. that's why i can't answer that OTP meme thing going around, though i want to at least TRY. i'm not even sure i consider the perfect romantic relationship to be a monogamous one...

hmm, yuki's 20.5 profile has pretty much spelled out that he's monogamous...but to whom? in the multi-dimensional timewarp in my head, he's faithful to one different person per reality >) and then again, who's to say sanada's eye doesn't wander. he is, after all, as we say, a dork. of the highest order. emperor dork.

I know I've only read the last two chapters of this, but I really like your characterizations and the interactions. I should probably read the rest, right?

As for your SanaYuki, I like the way you present it. I like that you have these very obvious obstacles born mostly from the way their particular personalities are, because I think it's very true to what we know about them. For the record, I like the pairings when done like THIS. ^_^

I really enjoyed this fic from beginning to end. I'm really happy you finished it. ^_^ I think you portrayed the team dynamics as friends really well. Oh and the part where Yukimura was like "they don't need me" was interesting because I was wondering about that when I read ch 198. Ugh time frame is so hard to get. XD; I was working on my Rikkai fic which is set in the summer and then noticed that Kantou was during July so I'm frustrated. XDDDDD;;; I hope to see more Rikkai/SanaYuki fics from you *___*

XD truth be told, i'm still terribly embarrassed to post the last part on FF.net. i'll have to own up eventually, but i keep hoping i'll find the strength (and the time) to rewrite everything before i post the last part, so all will be well.

just out of curiosity, were you able to finish and post your rikkai fic eventually? um...in case you have, i must have missed it, i'm terribly sorry...i'm bad at fic-hunting, and i haven't been to ff.net in ages. i'd love a link :)
