I... have no idea what this fic is about, other than Yukimura is Sick, but this actually intrigued me. I like the way yo write Sanada and Renji.

Oh! And Kirihara angst! And what's more, it actually WORKS!

I love how everybody picks on Jackal, even when they're semi-conscious.
I love how Renji reads Sanada like a book, and the shougi analogy.
And I love how Akaya's munchkin mind jumps from thought to thought like a little munchkin's will when it is bored, and rolls over and goes to sleep and then simply won't wake up.

your Yukimura's 'exert skill and win before body breaks down' theory is EXACTLY what I was thinking. even if he wasn't sick, he seems too frail for any kind of vigorous activity (well.. sporting activity. must spare space for smut). it's like the Rikkai Triad: Sanada has the physical strength, Renji has the mental strength, and Yukimura has this spiritual(?) strength.

hora, we stumbled across the same theory, re: yukimura's play style! :D re: triad, i've been thinking of something along the same lines => renji: mind; sanada: will; yukimura: heart.

I absolutely loved Yukimura's characterization - it's exactly the way I see him being with the rest of the team. I think you captured Sanada and Renji well, too. Renji would definitely pull Sanada to the side if he didn't feel that the vice-captain was handling a situation appropriately.

I look foward to reading the conclusion.
