Hot windows
I bought some of that film to put on windows year round. Some windows aren't getting any other window treatment for various reasons, but my living room faces due west. And I have a collection of panes that total 7 feet wide by 5 feet high ish. Even with heavy drapes the heat cooks this room all afternoon, making it a most unpleasant part of the house. for the bonus round, my bedroom is just above it and there's nothing but road in front of my house for about 3 blocks. (I feel safe from DUIs because there is an 18 inch high, 8 inch deep and 30 feet long retaining wall. Its very hilly here.)
My living room windows are about half covered and it has already made a difference in the house. Can't wait to do a few more.
