The hardware store guy likes my bathroom cabinets
I had to go buy more screws today. Guy at the hardware store asks me what I'm making.
That was his big mistake.
I got my phone out and made him look at a zillion and 2 pics of the bathroom shelving saga. And he loved it! And he called over his friend and he loved it too.
Because when they built this house 93 years ago, people tended to have, what, 3-4 sets of clothes and one towel each?
And the very nice man who added this bathroom to the house did not have a big budget and bought the smallest cheapest sink and cabinet money could arrange. Since the tub had that "we've rebuilt our motor in here" look to it, I'm thinking a lot of the fixtures were scrounged. Especially since he gifted us with a pink tub. You don't buy a pink tub to build motors in.
And why not scrounge stuff up? Everyone I know does it all the time.
