47 million Americans don't pay taxes

This comment pissed me off to no end.

I wonder how many of those 47 million people are so rich they did not have to make any money this year, and so therefore did not?

Figures can be made to tell lies.

My gran paid SS since they started it, OK? I think she was entitled to have it and did not pay taxes the last several years. I have several members of my family who work like dogs, and just don't make enough money to pay taxes. They are not on food stamps.

I started paying taxes when I was 15. I worked until I was 45. That's 30 years. Its clearly not my fault I'm disabled, but I paid taxes for 30 years. My leg refused to support me while I was working at the job in front of witnesses.

There was an eternity between the time I actually hit my ass to the time I was able to see a doctor, use the leg with a splint, use the leg with a smaller brace and its still a demon. They can't fix it because they don't know how. It seems I have a cane collection going on now. I got normal, purple, made from a tree that fell at my old house, etc.

Hint:that knee is one of my many disabilities. I worked 30 years total. I am mightily annoyed to be considered a burden to a country that sent me to 2 wars while I was in the USAF 20 years.

And I still pay property taxes, taxes on my cars(plates), sales tax and many other taxes that are hidden such as the gasoline tax. You should have seen the taxes I paid the day I bought the Honda Fit new. Even HE would have been proud of me then.
