I finally changed the faucet on my upstairs bathroom sink. It took me a while because the directions were vague and its been years since I did one.
Why do they assume you already know how? Maybe you know how to do loads of other things and just feel lucky. If I had known every little thing I could have done 2 or 3 in that time and effort. I had it 90% done and had to undo it and start over.
A plumber charges $200 to come to the house in this town and say howdy. And I did get the faucet for $21, so that's pretty awesome.
I felt very motivated because this is the 1st place we've ever lived where we've had to pay one drop at a time. Wells or flat fees don't motivate me about drips very much. Sure its wasteful and I want to do something and changing the stem usually isn't too hard, but this made me feel like a character from Dune. That's money going down the sink. And I don't care a bit about money, either I have it or not and if I have it I will spend it, but leaving lights one and water running makes me insane. Insaner?
I do know how Grandma felt after she got run over by that reindeer. I've been run over by the plumbing.
