Wow 26 weeks without LJ
I haven't even looked at this place for 26 weeks, I wonder if anyone missed me. So, whats going on with me. Management is not all it is cracked up to be, it is a lot more work then the staff think it is. It has really opened my eyes to why good managers get burned out quickly at my company and why many of the past managers decided to just slack after trying so hard.
Interestingly I got a Model 66 Singer sewing machine. Manufactured between 1913 and 1915. It was converted from a treadle to electric sometime in it's life. I managed to get it up and running this evening by doing some minor maintenence to it. It really needs a good cleaning which I will need to dedicate at least a day to doing.
I managed to find a manual online for it which is way cool.
I managed to stitch 2 paper towels together.( this is actually a good test of a sewing machine because paper towels are way more fragile then most materials used for seewing.)
I really hope that I manage to get the whole kit and kaboodle running as well as possbile and manage to make something cool with it.
