At a glance, it seemed as though the girl had simply crawled under Ginger's desk, perhaps to get away from the noise and bustle of the White House Communications bullpen, and had fallen asleep there

Josh is walking through the halls, on his way back to his office from the Hill. Per usual, he passes through the communications department, and on his way, pokes his head into Sam Will's office. "Hey, Will, do you have those remarks on the Asia-Pacific..."
He trails off as he notices the situation. "What's going on?" He asks, confused, and voice a little higher than usual.
Ginger looked up slowly at Josh as he entered the room. A little hesitantly, and in almost a whisper she answers,
"Dragon fainted."
She wondered why she was suddenly treating this child as if she were the mother. It wasn't as if she'd known her for all that long, really. She had committed herself to help her, but ... it wasn't as if she was the mother.
Ginger shakes her head, opening her mouth and saying "I don't know", only the words don't come out as planned. They just don't, and she is left to stare at Dragon's motionless body, hoping it's nothing serious. Wishing she'd done something a little more. What if the girl had some kind of disease she didn't know about?
"Okay, Ginger, we seriously need to get a doctor in here right now. Maybe we should call the First Lady, but she's not really a doctor anymore, is she? I guess it doesn't matter..." Ramble, ramble.
Will glanced up as he finished on the phone, barely seeming to notice the significant increase in the room's number of occupants since he had placed the call. "Doctor's on the way," He said, breathlessly.
Perhaps it wasn't the best point in time to interupt ... well, it never did seem like she picked the best times to interupt, anyway. People always found her entrances annoying as hell, so it didn't matter so much anymore.
"Is that kid all right?" She asked, poking her head through the door, staring anxiously at Dragon's tiny body.
Josh turns around sharply, startled, and focused entirely on Katie for a brief second. "Uh, no, there's something wrong with her, but there's a doctor on the way..."
Katie thought about that for a moment. If she was a little smarter she would have said yes, and printed whatever she heard anyway, but Katie was a nice person. She shook her head, earnestly.
Katie gasped loudly, and quickly clapped her hand over her mouth. However, the look in her eyes showed her bewilderment quite clearly. She turned to the distraught Ginger and surveyed her.
"What in the world ..." Katie muttered to herself. "Ginger?" She knelt down, beside the red head.
