money, fame or happiness?

Money, fame or happiness, you can only have one... what would you rather have and why?

i: money

(Everything in the palace speaks of riches, from the practically glistening red stone walls to the expansive gardens where the little girl spends most of her time, playing with the animals or making her own amusement... court life means nothing to a child...)

There is little use for coin at Obernewtyn. Goods are bartered at the Moon Fairs, items traded for other items or the employment of talents. Dragon has never wanted for anything in this place.

ii: fame

(They bow and curtsey where she walks, doubly so when she is with Mama, who usually bids them stand with a gracious wave... the girl tried to mimick the action once, but the servitor flinched, frightened of reprimand...)

Everybody knows everybody else's name at Obernewtyn. They are all family, here, all mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters to Dragon, all of them friends. Why should she need more than that?

iii: happiness

(A bright little girl, she has heard it said. A rare bundle of energy; she smiles much and is often seen to laugh, she is good and kind and will make a strong Queen one day, they all approve... but secretly, the girl wonders what lies beyond the red stone walls...)

Dragon has never been happier in her life in this place. At Obernewtyn alone she feels totally safe, with Elspeth and Matthew and Kella and Dameon and Gahltha and Rushton and Maruman... Her very own family. Here at Obernewtyn, she loves and is loved, and surely that is enough for anybody.
