Two days updatin' in a row.

Today's been on the relatively boring side.

Bought a multi region DVD player on ebay so now I can watch my muse dvd on an actual television... it also plays just about anything you can put on a disc, so that's cool too.

I've discovered the fucking awesomeness that is soulseek... thus far I have (illegally) downloaded: grandaddy b-sides, two neutral milk hotel demos, some wilco demos, and the new features album (which, I might add, kicks ass). In the process of getting said features album I met Kim, who's a teacher in Knoxville and who is nearly (but "then again it is TN") old enough to be my mother, but hey, she digs some damn good music. And any teacher who listens to the shins and the features and has a livejournal is cool enough for me.

I'm glad to hear Daniel's party went well, and that it was given the cop's stamp of approval. Hope everybody made it to their respective homes safely (albeit a bit drunkenly).

I will begin my second year of college within a week.

'Aisle Seat 37-D' is perhaps the saddest, yet sweetest song I have ever heard in my entire life. So much so, that I feel it is time to include some lyrics with tonight's post. I know you want to skip over 'em, but just read it.

miles high, stalled above the sea
aisle seat 37-D
the hard guys that are crying quietly
and the moms lost in shock will never see me
sitting alone wearing headphones
smiling slighty as we fall towards the sea
and i'm having a glass of red wine
trying to find a picture of you
while everyone's going insane
i feel that i'm staying reasonably calm
now the pilot's reciting a prayer
but i'm so not there
and i really don't care
cause the picture of you i couldn't find
i finally found
so everything's fine
yeah the picture of you i couldn't find
i finally found
so everything's fine
while faster we fall toward the sea
i'm okay cause you're with me
here in 37-D
i'm okay cause you're with me
i'm okay cause you're with me
here in 37-D

Sorry to bring you down,
Davis
