Going nowhere fast.
Don't ya just hate it when things look like they're moving really fast and then come to a screeching halt?? Yeah, me too. This is what's happened here at work, there's little movement on anything around here right now, so I have nothing to report on this front other than.. still here. (Which isn't all that bad a thing mind you.)
This weekend was a good time. Unfortunately had to miss alirose's B-day party (Sorry Ali) on Friday as it was opening night for the show lawsoprano was in. See, turns out the U of M Law School has a theater group called T.O.R.T... standing for Theatre of the Relatively Talentless.
The shows are written, produced, and performed by students of the Law School. The only qualification to audition to join is you have to be a Law Student at the U of M... and everyone that auditions gets in. The writing is chalk full humor, mostly law related, so for a layman like myself I missed 1/2 the jokes. The music are parody rips of popular music form all genre's (This year featured parodies of Sexy Back (Justin Timberlake), Castle on a Cloud (Les Miserables), Oklahoma (Oklahoma the Musical), and a couple of Nickleback songs to name a few.)
This years show was entitled Robin Hood Esq. Short of stealing some of the character names and the character relationships to one another, the show had very little to do (even indirectly) with any telling of the story of Robin Hood that I'm aware of. That said, the story was entertaining and I had a great time.
