the cure. was so. fucking. AWESOME. the memory of it doesnt even seem real b/c it was too good to be real. it was 'just like a dream.' oh-so-awesome jenna managed to sneak me onto the floor w/ the most excellent plan she devised and we were RITE IN THE FRONT FUCKING ROW!!!! robert smith was standing rite in front of me and looked rite at me and i swear to god he was probably wondering why i was drooling...haha. no really tho, jenna back me up on this, it was surreal. simon was too fucking awesome for words and when he started the bass line for fascination street i really couldnt decide what was better: sex or having a staring contest w/ simon during one of my favorite cure songs. simon literally tried to stare me down for almost a minute. i won tho. haha. it was really fucking cool. i also think i managed to catch roger's eye for a sec but it was hard to tell since he was on the other side of the stage. couldnt really see jason which sucks b/c i wanted to get a pic of him. perry barely looked up from his guitar the entire time but he was rockin out so it was cool. the set list was pretty damn good. lullaby rocked my world....that is by far the sexiest cure song EVER. i wanted to cry during faith...im still surprised they played that one. i really wish they would have played a longer encore tho. i dont kno if they didnt b/c robert's voice was bothering him or the crowd just wasnt into it enuf. at the sf show they played why cant i be you as their last song and im really sad they didnt play that in sac as that is my fave cure song. :( plainsong sounded pretty cool live...very ethereal. edge of the deep green sea was really fucking cool....that song has definately gone up a few places on my favorite song list. i wanted to cry during disintegration too....such a good song. i love that they played anniversary. its by far one of the most beautiful songs in existence.
i took some really awesome pics. id post em in my journal but i dont kno how so someone should help me w/ that and u can see how close i was. i got this one pic of robert that i took w/out my flash so it just looks like he's an angel or something surrounded by the fog w/ lights shooting out around him. so friggin cool.
the concert could only have been better if a) we'd had backstage passes and b) if they had played burn, why cant i be you, fight, (i dont kno whats going) on, the kiss, one more time, a forest, the lovecats, shiver and shake, hot hot hot !!!, or mint car.
but the show would have been great no matter what they played.
