What are you in love with right now?

I am love with the idea of being in love. i want to have it capture and consume. i want it to be a long embrace that is filled with a warmth i cannot deny nor escape. it would be passionate, strong, deep, and complex. it denies logic, and surpasses the physical addictive state that basic love amounts to. the only thing is i don't know where i'll find it, when i'll find it, and who will love me in that way.

I worry that such a love doesn't exist. Or, if indeed it does, then it is so elusive that it might as well not exist. I want love to take me like a bandit, a total heist that never concludes the pursuit. I want it to be a fugitive in love, at once fleeing from and chasing the same object.

I worry that it doesn't exist either. But perhaps, if there is a desire to find it then that must mean there is something greater there - perhaps not exactly what we're thinking, though possibly something similar or perhaps better.

It seems that way, doesn't it, that if we strive for something that we hope exists then we somehow are the actual creators of the object? This would be the essence of any type of faith, so I guess we are required to have faith in love in order to be in love.

perhaps that is the reason why i've never been in love and instead wishing i could be. i struggle with faith and there is an unwillingness in me to have it.
