Musings...
Yesterday I went to the library. It was crisp, cold and sunny and I stood at the front door looking over at the high school and I remembered how young I was once. I thought about all the times I came over to the library during my free periods, or when I’d walk around the Fescue after lunch. I remembered how Ricki and I had written a kidnapping scene that took place completely in front of the library...it used to be closed on Mondays and Fridays remember?
I remember wondering what I’d do when I graduated. I remember thinking that the world began and ended with high school and you can never really understand what the real world is like until you’re out there living it.
I remember being so afraid that I’d lose touch with all my friends after high school and yet, never did I think that they would just continue to accumulate.
The library used to seem so much bigger...or maybe I was just smaller....
