The ranch
I've been working at the ranch this week. Very disappointing since I was totaly ready to be back in the field. Then James asked me if I wanted to go back into the field. Way exciting. Problem was that I had already told the rec coordinator at the ranch that I would go on their field trip wioth them. Ok, so I can go into the field on Saturday. Cool. So I get up this morning all ready to go and finish packing up my gear and James tells me that they don't need me afterall. They rearrange people in the field so that they didn't have to pull from outside. It makes sense logistically they save money. Still, very disappointing. So I guess I'm going back to the ranch this morning. Oh boy. At any rate, the field trip yesterday was fun. We drove back up to SLC and went bowling at fat cats. Then went out to TGI Fridays, took the kids to Nightmare on 13th. A very big elaborate haunted house. Then drove back down to Loa. a three hour drive.
So today I'll spend another 12 hours babysitting instead of hiking. guess stuff happens.
