This is too precious to pass up. This came in an email from the Japanese Student Association at my school.

"Tips for learning Japanese sentence structure

Recently, I have been obsessed with watching Star Wars.  I do not know why I
got into
Star Wars.  Anyway, I have found that Yoda the great Jedi warrior or the
green small old
man might be able to help you learn Japanese sentence structure easier.
I can't remember specific line that Yoda speaks but he usually puts verbs at
the end of
his sentence.

For example: "Food, I smell"

He can simply say "I smell food" but he rather say "Food, I smell"  which
makes him
distinct from other Jedi warriors (other than his appearnce).

Anyway, I need to make my point simple...In every Japanese sentence, verb
comes at
the end of the sentence.  So, if you speak like Yoda everyday in English, It
might help you construct sentences easier when you are in your Japanese class.
(Please do not take this too seriously...)"

Thanks anonymous Japanese person. That was immensely helpful.
