The tan lines that Lindsay and I got from Michael's driveway were messed up. When we put swimsuits on, you could clearly tell what kind of clothes we wore when we did it. And now that I've spent three straight days by the pool for a few hours, not only do I have a sunburn on my part line (yes, my scalp is pink now), but I now have a very nice tan line from my swimsuit top. :] As for the shorts tan... I'll work on it. At some point later in the week.
My first class went fabulously, all things considered. Of the 61 who signed up, 32 showed up... considering that was a free class (and my first class), it was an awesome turnout. Everyone who was there really, really enjoyed it and really helped me in planning out the lesson for the coming week. Apparently I'm a very fun teacher, and Lindsay (who sat in on my class for moral support) said that if I could make a class run that smoothly with no training, I'll make an awesome sensei someday. The dream is not yet dead. :]
So now I'm not really doing much, other than talking to Lindsay and Sawyer while making up the powerpoint and lesson plan for next week's class. I messaged all of my students with links to materials on the Genki (the textbook we use at school) website to help them learn the hiragana chart... the use of romaji makes me want to claw my eyes out. The faster they learn, the less I have to suffer. xD
As a random note... Sawyer's eyes aren't actually blue. They're a very pleasant shade of green, and don't remind me at all of a certain asshole. :]
