why artists are always "starving..."

I went to Pearl today to buy art supplies to make some t-shirt designs. I can sorta fathom why one paintbrush could cost about $20. Natural sable hair is a bit costly compared to using synthetic materials. What I can't understand is that the cheapest light box I could find was about $40! I mean it's a freaking box with a light bulb in it! I thought at max I'd be paying $20. It's crazy!

I then went to Woodbridge Mall to scout for more clothes. Four hours wandering only yielded me a shirt, a spring/fall jacket, and a scarf. The shirt and jacket I both found at H&M. Every other store I went to had clothes I didn't like, were way too expensive, or there were no medium sizes left. This is why I hate shopping. It takes me forever to find something I really like and is in a reasonable price range. I seriously need to get a second job or get more hours after summer classes are over.

Besides that I looked at my dad's old high school yearbook. I loved how a lot of the comments were bitingly sarcastic. For example, "Good luck in all your future failures" or "Best wishes to the tall Chinese guy who thought he was cool...but not!"
