♪La la la♪
Yesterday was one of the happiest days of my time here in Japan. I spent my entire day with Toru. (well from about 4:00 - 10:40)
First I got to Sumiyoshi and had to get money (and the dollar was at 121 yen, so I was like rawk and took money out), then I got a piece of cheesecake for Toru. (he says it is his favorite food) Then I walked to Rokujizou (which is about 2 bus stops away) and these middle school kids just yelled "HAVE AT YOU" in English, so I turned around and tore their faces off in Japanese then walked away. (I was going to see Toru, so obviously I wasn't going to poom poom away) Then I found his place and - HOLY CRAP is it nice. He has a nice little couch thing out of fake black leather and it is just...it felt very like "徹." He told me what was possibly preventing him from being in school next semester (his sick grandma and his sick great aunt - they are both in critical condition, he says).
We talked for a couple hours, then we watched Jackass: the Movie. Finding a Japanese person who understands the stupid/perverse/disgusting humor of Jackass is TRULY a rare treat! XD I was SO surprised - because usually, Japanese people are like >_> at it, like "ok, he's being stupid...what's funny?" But Toru was like "man, that looks like fun...o_o; (laugh hysterically)" ^_^ So that was WONDERFUL for me. <3
Then we talked more and played guitar - talked about music and how awesome some bands were, and things like that. He spent his time trying to find bands I don't know. XD I knew everything but one called Rooster. They were really good - so he let me borrow the CD. The sound was really amazing to me. He also lent me 2 books. One is his favorite novel and the other is one with beautiful pictures. XD <3
I was so sad to leave at 10:40, but we thought it was best not to make my host family even MORE angry at me.
Either way...that was SO good for me, yesterday. (le sigh)
