Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks....
Is anyone else anxiously awaiting Opening Day? Last year at this time I was getting ready to go to Tampa for a work-related conference. I caught a Phillies spring training game in Clearwater because one of my students' dad is the Athletic Trainer for the team, but disappointingly enough I did not get to see my Indians in the nearby Winter Haven. So why, you might ask, am I also a Mets fan? Because I have declared the Mets my favorite NL team, that's why. And mostly because I dislike the Yankees.
It's St. Patrick's Day and I am sitting at my computer. I feel like I should be drinking green beer or something, but I'm going to have a busy weekend. Tomorrow I am going to "Celebration of Suds" in Atlantic City with some old friends (I was gonna go tonight, but I decided to stay home and write this post instead) :)
Then on Sunday I am playing champion trivia uptown with a handsome man. I would rather not disclose who this is yet...I do not want to jinx myself. If you really must have a hint, he is someone I met through myspace and you can find him in my "friends" there. So I will try not to celebrate too much at Suds Fest so that I still have my smarts to impress him...don't you worry!
So today at Grand Central I think I saw Carla from Cheers. She was wearing a large green leprechaun hat. But maybe it wasn't her. I'm never too sure about the celebrity sitings. Oh! And the best part of being in Grand Central on St. Patrick's Day: there was an Irish man getting his shoes polished and they had golden buckles! Maybe he was a leprechaun.
At any rate, I hope everyone has a fun weekend. And I am granting you all permission to kiss me. After all.....I am part Irish.....
