(no subject)
Sooo, my sister found out today that she is having a girl. Gonna name her Jordan. *shrugs* I'm excited to be an aunt, but at the same time, I kind of feel like I need to not be personally invested since I will never see her.
Anyway, when my sister called earlier, I asked her if she needed anything, etc. (of course). And she said she was going to start some registries, to which I replied "Oh good! Let me know where they are so I can take a look." Then she was like "Well, most of the stuff on there will be out of your price range." Huh? "And it's not like you spend a lot of money on me anyway."
WTF??! Well, for one thing, we have never been close. For another, I make $35K a year, and Scott takes care of the major bills. And she has never asked me for anything. And it's not like she's ever spent a lot of money or effort on me or Olivia, either. But I'm not sure why any of the above precludes my spending money on my only niece. ARGHHHH, she pisses me off so much!!!
And to top it off, I either picked up a virus or the sinus drainage I'm dealing with is making me want to yak. I came home at noon and I still feel queasy. Blech.
