(no subject)
I decided I should update my journal. I wish I had ridiculously interesting things to say about myself and whats going on in life but sadly nothing is. I'm leaving in 5 weeks and 5 days...I'm working every minute I can get until then, and...thats pretty much it.
I found a new doctor, not because I wanted to have a physical before I left, but because I need a PRESCRIPTION that I've ran out of over this past year. I'm sure you know all about how much I LOVED my old doctor and they dropped my insurance suddenly blah blah blah. Well some server gave me her doctors number. I called and he didn't have an appointment until September 16...I'm leaving the 29th...not good :-\ so she spouted off some other dates for any of the other doctors and we decided on next tuesday. I have no idea with who :) and I also have NO idea where this place is :) but dangit I have an appointment and they take my insurance!!!!!!
*suddenly remembers things*
I told Dad that I was leaving with a ONE way ticket one night when he took me out to dinner (To Crossroads...where I work...pathetic i know but its SO good!) and of course he made the completely understandable comment "You can't fly up there one way!". I then told him the story about how I can leave whenever I wanted and I would just put it on Pauls credit card and eventually pay it off...slowly but surely. After that he was fine. I'm sure he isn't HAPPY about it but he didn't say anything about school (and I'm not goign to say anything either!) and we were completely civil the rest of the night. It scared the hell out of me.
but it was NOTHING like the shock I got during our trip to Florida...
We didn't go to the beach by any means. We went to a little fishing town called Steinhatchee.. and I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong. We went scalloping down there fun stuff really :) Well theres this BEAUTIFUL little chapel randomly placed in the town with a huge gazebo (probably spelled that wrong too), flower garden, and pond its so nice :) OUT OF NO WHERE Dad says "When you and Paul get married you should do it down here"...I'm thinking... WHAT? He continued with the conversation about how it would cut down on the guest coming and its a really relaxing town (which it is) and that it will be easy to find lodging for everyone considering that EVERY house there is for renting... but still it freaked me out. Then later he was looking at teeshirts with me and randomly said "Get a long sleeved one. Its going to be cold in Michigan" !!!!!!!!?????? Paul was just as blown out of the water as I was when I told him. I think the words "Who is this man?" have come to everyones minds in the past few days.
Hmm turned out I did have stuff to say. Thats amazing :) Well, I slept 12 hours last night and I haven't had anything to eat since yesterday afternoon so maybe I should get on that :) I hope you are all doing well!
