It's all perspective, isn't it? I always undervalue my own experiences, not realizing how exciting and special they are. This weekend, all I wanted to know was what everyone was up to so I, too, could find something to do. All the while thinking about what else might be going on, I didn't realize how much fun I was actually having just hanging out with old housemates. It didn't hit me, even as I laid sleeping on a recliner, watching the Matrix. It didn't hit me, as I sat outside a Safeway in the city, watching stunt planes and the Blue Angels fly by. It didn't hit me, as I finished my beer bottles of the month display on my desk. It did not even hit me today, as I drove to a golf course, played in an 8 man SHB, had nachos, pizza, and 4 cups of beer, and went to rehersal slightly buzzed. No...it didn't hit me until just now in the shower as I wondered what else everyone did this weekend. Whatever it was, I don't care. I made my own adventure. I just didn't know it.
