"Found me."
There was a tree, leaves green and high up above,
but this tree's fruit, it was a man's wife's love
At first he was good, and cared for her needs
neglect soon started, and up grew the weeds
He watered not the fruit, nor pruned branches
If he didn't change soon, no third chances
But the man didn't change; the roots went sour
The sad fruit slowly died, hour after hour
This idiotic man had not a clue
and his time with the fruit was growing few
and far between; it fell to the ground,
that sad fruit, because the man was not around.
Then a new man, after pulling up some weeds
found what remained, just a few lonely seeds
This man was different; he really cared
and with these poor seeds the man's love was shared
He planted the seeds, and nourished them daily,
and as they sprouted he talked to them gaily
In time they grew tall, a beautiful tree
Under the tree this new man's heart flew free.
And on this new tree a new fruit soon grew
and then many fruit grew, not just a few
This tree was healthy, plain for all to see
the man said to the tree, "Glad you found me."
From that time onward, each and every day,
the man showed his love any possible way.
His days were then filled with joy and laughter
nurturing his tree, he was loved ever after.
