Wow.
I haven't updated this since June of 2007 - almost a year! Guess I need to get back into the swing of things and start writing more again.
Let's see, there is a lot to update about my career. Since my last entry, I took the PHR exam in December of 07, didn't pass by 3 points, got pissed off but soon recovered and decided to re-take it in the next testing window in May of 08, was promoted to HR Manager in January of 08, and re-took the PHR in May 08 and PASSED. Whee! I don't know my official score yet, but I should be getting my score in the mail anyday now. I know I at least got a 500 out of 700, since that's what required to pass, but it would be cool if I managed to bring up my score a considerable amount from the first time.
Not quite as much to update in the way of personal life, since my life was pretty much consumed by PHR studying over the past year, but I'm starting to get back into other stuff now. I'm almost finished my England scrapbook and hope to finish it before the end of the month. Then I get to start my wedding scrapbook, which will probably take forever to finish as well, since justin and I are bound and determined to finally (and I mean it this time!) move into a house by the end of summer. Our apartment lease renews September 1, so we'll need to be out by the end of August. We're going to go get pre-qualified for a loan this weekend to see what we can actually afford and then we'll be in full house shopping mode for the next couple of months. I really, really hope we can make it work this time. I don't know how much longer I can stand living in our apartment and going through my hour commute to work.
