*decides to spend some time with Lalaith because that means time away from Sir*

*brings over a couple of blades to show her a few swordfighting basics*

::is not wearing the proper outfit for the task ahead but has...gloves::

To keep a good grip on the...the...good end of the sword. HILT, I meant hilt. To save me from germs and sweat and...hi.

*grins*

Keep you from getting blisters too. Although... nice as that skirt is, you're not going to get the best mobility.

::looks down at her neat and properly ironed skirt::

Whatwhynotit'snew! I mean...trousers, then? Where will we be practising?

Trousers. They're better. Seriously. Swordplay CAN involve falling over, running around, and stuff, so mobility's pretty important.

Oh well. I can always borrow a pair from my nana's collection. Want to look around while I change?

::waves a hand for you to walk around in the unnervingly shiny interior of her new home::

Don't touch Ada's weapons over there on the display though. He's very particular about his spy gadgets things.

. . .

I'll... try not to breathe too hard on anything.

*feels suddenly far too dirty and unclean to be anywhere near the interior of the house*

I... think I'll just admire the garden for now...

Well, nothing is fragile, you know. Chrome, aluminium and marble - almost all of it. It's just kept perfectly clean under Nana's strict quality control check.

::is completely at ease with her pristine surroundings so fails to notice your hesitance::

Are you sure? My room's upstairs and I won't take long. Oh, come along, you.

Uhm... Should I take my boots off? Those are pretty expensive looking carpets...

::eyes yourr boots::

They don't have dirt or mud on them, do they? The maids can clean them if you want. Leave them by the door. ^^

Right you are. :S

*tugs off his oversized boots and sets them by the door*

Well. The place is impressive, I've got to say that.

::guides you up the massive staircase towards her room::

::keeps telling you about various rooms and things in the house in a simple tone::

Nana and Ada were veeery specific about what they wanted. They don't do things by halves, as you can see.

Yeah...

I suppose it's easier to keep the place pristine when you don't have an army of kids running about the place. Or our twins with their assortment of creepy-crawlies.

You know what's funny, though?

::opens the door to her spacious room which isn't very different from the rest of the house::

I don't remember our home ever being anything other than clean even when Turin and I were very small. Maybe it changed when Nienor was born.

::adds a bit wistfully:

I bet they had lots of fun, making mud pies and bringing stuff in from the lawns.

Heh... well. At least you weren't at home for the earthworm incident. *shudder*

Still. They're sweet kids. Couldn't have asked for better little brothers.

I was talking about Turin and Nienor...what earthworm incident? :D

Oh. Right. Well. The twins like bugs and things, so they decided that because they like bugs, they shoul give people they like bugs.

So they had a bucket of worms they wanted to bring Haleth, but only they brought it inside and the worms got loose.

Then the pairo f them hid in Nana's wine cellar and got drunk. >_<

It was NOT a pretty incident.
