well, today was quite interesting. Mr. Anderson yelled at all the seniors this morning; well, all the seniors that brought back their uniforms. First off, I was not the one who "turned in" the 10 commandents. It was sent to the directors without my knowing. The directors do not know who who wrote the 10 commandments, except for Mr. Thornton, and I know for sure no one told him. Secondly, it was brought to my attention by concerned seniors in the band. Thirdly, I brought the directors into this because I CARE ABOUT THE BAND, AND I WANTED EVERYONE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. I wanted a senior meeting, so I asked Mr. Thornton if he would reconsider his previous decision. I talked to those involved, I discussed the issue with my mother, and the other Drum Major, then I felt it was necessary to have a short meeting between myself, Ted, Mr. T, and Anderson to discuss what further action could be taken to help SOLVE this problem. I thought I was doing the right thing, but adderssing this issue with the directors, not knowing it would cause such an uproar. I was just trying to help. I just ask that if anyone, ANYONE in band has any complaints, to come to Ted or I. We are ALWAYS willing to listen to anything you guys have to say, with an open mind and we will try to find a way to get to the directors on the band's behalf.
Thanks,
Allison
