I'm Losing It
Asside from asking what butane is, I thought this might be somewhat comical for you.
In the lecture just before lab, Professor Moses tells us not to clean out our test tubes with acetone as per usual because acetone will show up on the NMR machine thingie and mess up our results. I think to myself that I'll just give it time to dry. When I get down to the lab I clean out my testtubes with acetone, wipe them down with a paper towel and let them dry.

"I let it dry out." Me
"There's still some there." Linda
"I don't see any. If I don't see any, none's there." Me
"IT'S A MOLECULE!" Irritated Linda.
"See all this Hydrogen I have?" Jeff, holding out his hand.
Molecules... right. Now, if only I could figure out what pentane is...
