~The Bumpy Road~
Set in an AU where the writers didn't make John look like an asshole for forgetting to tell someone about his other kid Sam and Dean discover Adam's existence somewhere in early Season 2. When circumstances for him to leave his old life behind, Sam and Dean take Adam in. And it all goes downhill from there. This verse is best known for being soul-crushingly bleak and painful.
In Chronological Order...
Many a Winding Turn (4500~ words, PG rating, Sam POV)
SUMMARY: Stuck on the side of the road together, Sam uses video games, Power Rangers, and punch buggies to bond with his little brother.
COMMENTS: First story chronologically, but the most recently written. Written pretty much with the exclusive purpose of making the other stories hurt more. I am a cruel being. ;)
Bump in the Night (7500~ words, PG-13 rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Post Season 2. Sam is dead in body, Dean is dead in spirit, and Adam... Adam isn't dead yet, but he's getting there. Dean kills a little more of him every day.
COMMENTS: Second story chronologically, first one written. WARNING: This story contains scenes of violence and abuse towards a minor.
Capstone (6400~ words, R Rating, Sam POV)
SUMMARY: Sam knows he is a Winchester because he ruins everything he touches. That's the main requirement. Maybe it's time he just accepted it. Maybe it's time he just accepted a lot of things...
COMMENTS: Third chronologically, second written. WARNING: This is the absolute nadir of the series. Graphic violence, torture, and suicide are all featured here.
The Untimely Demise of Singer Salvage (12,000~ words, PG-13 rating, Bobby POV)
SUMMARY: Bobby lets sentimentality get ahead of his good sense and buries the boy on his property. His windows pay for his mistake.
COMMENTS: Fourth chronologically, third written. This is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Or is it? ;)
~The Angelic Verse~
This one picks up after Season 5. As the title suggests, the primary defining feature of this series is that Adam becomes an angel. Kind of. It's complicated. This series is primarily action-adventure.
Lift Me Up (19,000~ words, PG-13 Rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Not all of Adam survived the Cage... nor did all of Michael. What escaped is neither and both at once, and it is up to Sam and Dean to configure the broken pieces into something workable before the angels erase what little is left...
COMMENTS: Action/mystery, very family oriented. Can be seen as a look at the world from the eyes of someone with amnesia/brain damage. More or less consists of Sam and Dean 'raising' Adam and teaching him how to be human.
Worth a Thousand Words (3,000~ words, PG Rating, Dean POV)
SUMMARY: A sort of mid-quel, set during Lift Me Up. Little snapshots of Sam, Dean, and Adam, and the atypical family they form together.
COMMENTS: More chapters will be posted as I come up with them, but each one stands by itself as a little mini-fic. Sickeningly sweet.
Angel in Exile (8000~ words, PG-13 Rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Adam is sent to Earth after disobeying an order and nearly getting himself killed. He hunts down demons and kicks their asses while he's there, to prove to himself and his superiors that he is a good soldier. Set Season 6-ish.
COMMENTS: Written mainly as a response to 6x03. Sort of a look at the daily life of a celestial soldier on earth, and me having a bit of fun with how cool it would be to have angel powers. XP
~The Alpha Verse~
Set mid-season 6, this 'verse is my first stab at vaguely creepy/horroresque stories. It's notable for my being fucking psychic-- I called the Big Bad of Season 6 months before she was actually revealed on the show. ;)
Born Anew (4500~ words, R rating, Various POVs)
SUMMARY: Far beneath the Earth, deeper than man has ever ventured, dwells a secret so dire that not even angels dare speak of her. She has no name- She is the song that hums in their blood, the strength in their flesh, the firmness in their bones. She is Mother. And on this day, she takes a new child as her own.
COMMENTS: My stab at a Lovecraft-esque horror story, complete with incomprehensible, indescribable abomination older than the concept of time. Also my own little attempt at explaining why every monster in the SPN!Verse looks like a human. XP
WARNING: This story contains graphic violence, a fate horrible beyond all description, and references to a 'humanitarian' diet.
Wicked Child (6500~ words, R rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Adam's encounter with Mother has left him a changed boy. Now, he is Mommy's Special One, Omega of the Alphas, and he can't wait for her to take his leash off and let him run wild.
COMMENTS: My first honest-to-Chuck Villain!Adam. This Adam is eagerly, hungrily, gleefully evil and damn proud of it. He's also more than a little unhinged, which is a common side effect of being deconstructed and remade by a cosmic horror that angels shit themselves in fear of. This story is a rare look at the world through the eyes of a monster-- at what it might be like to look at a person and see them only as a meal or a toy. It was far too much fun to write. >_> I think I might be a little evil myself.
WARNING: This story contains even more graphic violence, and explicit cannibalism (though I'm not sure it should really be considered cannibalism, because Adam is no longer human).
~Standalone Fics~
These stories don't have any sequels and are not connected to any of the above series's, or each other. Some of them might get sequels in the future, though... you never know. ;-)
Surely Heaven Waits (2,900~ words, PG Rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Post S5. Adam is finally plucked from the Pit and plopped back in Heaven where he belongs. But he can't lay his weary head to rest just yet... he's got a bone to pick with John Winchester.
COMMENTS: My first fanfic. This is by far the nicest I have ever been to Adam, so read this if you're tired of him being tortured. :P
Shiny Happy People (25,000~ words, PG-13 Rating, Various POVs)
SUMMARY: Post S5. Sam and Dean head to investigate a fledgling cult forming around a faith healer. What they expect is another Roy LeGrange. What they find is... well, it's just weird. Even for them.
COMMENTS: This is primarily a humor fic, bordering on outright crack. Read with caution. XP
Static Cling (52,000~ words, PG-13 Rating [R in one chapter], Various POVs)
SUMMARY: Post S5. A new round of prank wars nearly has Sam and Dean dueling at high noon. When they discover the architect of the scheme is a very familiar ghost, they embark on a long, painful journey to put him to rest... whether he likes it or not.
COMMENTS: My second darkest version of Adam thus far, and my longest fanfic to date. Humor, action-adventure, and even a bit of mystery in this one.
Backseat Driver (1000~ words, PG Rating, Adam POV)
SUMMARY: Season 6. A hypothetical examination of the potential location of the soul of one Sam Winchester, and the ramifications exacted on the sanity of the individual who has to deal with all this bullshit. :P
COMMENTS: My shortest fic so far. Just a fun, humorous little one-shot.
Engine (2100~ words, PG Rating, Sam POV)
SUMMARY: The Alpha Vamp wanted Sam to be the perfect animal. But Sam is no animal... no, Sam is a machine.
COMMENTS: My first-ever story without Adam! :O An examination on what being soulless might actually be like, with Sam attempting to live and function without emotion.
Dead Fics
To my shame, these are stories which I just do not see myself finishing. I try very hard to avoid these, but alas, sometimes, the inspiration just leaves you.
Out of Ashes (26,000~ words, PG Rating, Sam POV)
SUMMARY: Sam's little brother falls out of Heaven and lands in his lap. You know, proverbially. His powers are running away with him, and they have to find out why, before Adam is torn apart by his own angelic strength.
COMMENTS: Will likely never be finished, as I simply no longer like the plot I have laid out for it. :/
