Annapolis Rowing Club Membered

I am joining the Annapolis Rowing Club this Fall. Hopefully, I'll get out on a boat as soon as possible though I don't mind the ergs. I'll be going out in the evenings which should be fun. I'd prefer morning practice, but my current work schedule doesn't allow it. I miss crew--going out on the water, beautiful scenery, fun. I have to sign up for volunteering for some part of the club. I was thinking I'd do the fundraising or the social events (because I'm am a true socialite). What's cool is that it is competitive, so I'll be able to race in regattas, some of which I've raced in whilst rowing for Washington College. Hopefully my long jogs will be enough preparation for this. When in college I only ran 3 miles during the summer. This summer I've been running 5 miles on averages and on occasion 8 miles, but that was at a slow pace. Rowing is alot more work. In fact, I don't think I'll feel too good after the first couple practices with ARC. That's if everyone there is working hard to speed up their times. Regardless, I'll definitely enjoy doing this. I haven't had something like that in a long-ass time.

Also, on this feel-good kick, I've donated money to my old fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. Those guys are in the pits right now because fraternities are less popular than back in the day. Of course, in reality it's always been hard on fraternities to recruit. But all I care about is having our annual crab feast. I'll be craving crabs around the end of September, I postulate, and there they'll be, waiting to be consumed. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

I'm currently a meat cutter at Whole Foods Market. That's all I have to say about that. Let me say that Starbucks coffee is starting to piss me off...no offense to anyone who works there. Actually, I just dislike the job somewhat intensely. No I don't; I just say that to feel better. But I am actively searching the classifieds and sending out resumes. It'll be swell.

Adios, Zapatos.

Sir.
