I'm in a philosophy mood, surprise anyone?
So here is my new theory of god.
There is such thing as god, but he is very misinterpretted. Religion is a great tool, but for the most part is completely false. You can explain all mysteries and control people's minds and actions by simply telling them that there is a heavenly father. I'm not saying that the things they preach are bad, there is good philosophy. The ability to corrupt and the power clergy can have over people, however, is very disagreeable.
Let me give you some examples:
In Judaism, there is a law of kosher. This is logical because trichinosis and other causes of lethal intestinal mischief were caused by certain foods. Therefore you have a law invented for the safety of people.
Catholocism has been through corruption and back again. (Indulgences, priests who stole from the church and engaged in hedonistic activities, etc.) Have you ever thought that there maybe was a reason for the middle man between the Catholic and God? How convenient is it to make it necessary to tell all the crimes you comitted so you wouldn't be damned to hell.
How much harder would a serf work is he was convinced that he would be rewarded with eternal paradise after he passed from this earth so long as he was loyal and hard working?
This is a system that is tried and true. I think humans just like to feel oppressed. This is why great societies don't last long, they don't want freedom. America had just broken free from the monarchy in England and they asked George Washington to be their king. Luckily he said no and so created our land as it is. Our freedom in infringed upon and we just don't care too much, we want to be used and abused.
I think we're going to end up in another dark age. Seriously, how many of you could really rebuild every appliance in your house and find an energy supply? We're so hopeless. Without a system that lets us have other people wipe our asses, we are useless. We are weak little infants in this world. Toughen up, loves. Knowledge is power.
