Doctor Thomas [Lastname] was a scientist working with the Mendolia, focusing on the experimentation and injection of materials for the preforare. He was involved in several separate sets of experiments because of it, and would be easily recognizable to anyone involved, I believe.

I can tell you with 94.7% certainty that his death was at the hands of those who already knew of his involvement with the Mendolia, possibly an escaped experiment, or someone who was wronged by them. There also exists the possibility of them having been after his notes to be used in similar projects, in an effort to fight the Mendolia.

His death is unlikely to be caused by Palermi efforts--and his appearance was meant to instill fear and uncertainty, and possibly to have fingers pointed and make the already looming turf war bloodier. I cannot say for certain what motive there was to his death, but given the overt...showmanship to it, he was made as an example.

I will be reporting to you when I have more of an idea who is responsible.
