FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to have knowledge of (series) to play in this game?
Not at all! Morire may contain elements found in various series, but it is not explicitly based on any fandom. Whatever information you need for the game can be found on the mod journal, or questions can be sent to the mods for answering.
What about the bullets? Do we have to use them?
The bullets are entirely optional. If you apply for an adult character, you can have them already in control of a Family (please make sure to create the Family) or working for a Family. They may work for an NPC Family, but please make sure to put that within your application.
My character has a certain power, can I keep it?
Yes, you may keep the power, but the problem is fitting it into this setting. We don't want people to be all powerful, you have to have a weakness. So, what we can say here is that you may have the ability, but change it a little bit, make it less powerful, and apply it to the setting.
What if I want to play more than two characters?
With each activity check you pass, you will be given the option of apping another character. This continues up until your fifth character. At that point, regardless of how active you are, you will not be allowed to apply for another character without dropping to make room.
But my character is canonly a mafia boss! Can they still be in this game?
Sure! But you have to create your family first! Build them up from the ground, it'll really make the game more fun for you if you can really create the family.
My character is underage, can they still be in the mafia?
As most of the experimentees are children, yes, you may do it. You may have them just getting out of experimentation, or we may have ones be kidnapped at some point in the game. You do have the option to opt out. They will probably be in a Family, but not really doing anything intense, such as hits.
Can we age up characters?
Yes, if there is canon basis for it. Some series do a future arc, or age the characters up themselves, so that's alright. But if there is no canon basis for how they are as an older teenager/adult, then please do not age them to an adult age (like making an eleven year old suddenly twenty). A few years older is reasonable for the aging process (i.e. making a sixteen year old eighteen years old).
How long will events last?
Small events will last a week, but when we have a big event that is plot changing, we will allow it to last through a month. Backtagging is also allowed for these events, as we realize that not everyone has all the time in the world to dedicate to a game.
It's optional to be part of a Family, but what if I want my character to be a police officer/detective?
Of course! It'll always make it more interesting to have good guys and dirty cops, so please do! If you want to have a character be either one of these (or they normally are in their canon), just state it at the bottom of your application!
I want to pick up a character that's been dropped, but they had a lot of CR and history! What do I do?
If you pick up a character that's been dropped, we suggest you talk to the castmates, find out their information from the mods (so we can talk to them appropriately before you contact them), and see if you can work on the character that way! If not, you may start the character anew with a different history!
My character has died! Is the game over for me?
Certainly not! The Mendolia Family are experts at bringing people back to life, but it takes 48 hours to do so. However, it isn't without repercussions. Every time you are brought back to life, your character is missing a memory. It can be any memory, simple, meaningful...anything, but it has to be a memory from their past, or something recent.
What if my character isn't human, do they have a place in Morire?
Of course! Remember, the Mendolia family experiments on people. Who knows, they possibly made your character who they are today. If you're a robot or animal, it may be best to make them more human, just to fit the basis of the game.
Is it just action or just prose logs? Which one should we do?
Either! We understand that people prefer certain types of logs, so please, when logging things out with certain characters, do whatever feels comfortable for you. No one likes to do something that makes them uncomfortable, so we want to make it fun for everyone.
How many abilities can my character have?
As many as you want! But remember, some events will allow you to add a new ability at the end, so keep that in mind! However, if the mods feel like you're overpowered, they may ask you to tone it down somewhat.
The casing of the bullets makes sense, but how does someone tell the difference with Scortesia? There are so many types of offensive abilities!
The Scortesia bullets are made a little differently from the others. The packaging is the same, labeled for what ability that the person will be able to use offensively. However, with these bullets there is a wide range of what a person can do. The abilities with the weapon are the same as all the others, but the elemental bullets (such as a character's ability to use ice, lightning, and such) are the silver liquid cased in a color bullet. The colors are as follows:
Ice/Water: Blue
Lightning/Ground: White
Fire: Red
Wind: Green
If I shot someone else with the same type of bullet they use, will they be able to use their abilities?
Yes! If your character and their enemy have similar abilities, such as healing, and your character shot them with the Ministro bullet for healing, they would be able to use their ability. The only time it causes death is if someone is shot with a bullet that they are unfamiliar with/not capable of handling, they will become ill and possibly die.
