1) You would be one of those chicks that use some form of science to kill things; you'd kick ass in Xenosaga. Not a mage, but one of those mages that don't use magic... yeah.

2) How many yuri parings CAN we get out of morinzilion? XD

#1.) A dark mage with super "Boom-boom" powers. Too bad you're insanely clumsy with them. =\

#2.) Fans love you because you're cute and kick lots of ass. Nuking the old folks home by accident got you +1,000 respect points in the eyes of hyper-violent wanky teenagers.

2. You'll probably be the character that none of the hentai artists will touch with a ten foot pole, but be fairly popular amongst everyone else.

That's just the impression I get.

1) Some guy weilding the largest, most destructive weapon type in the entire game. Main character type.

2) Canonically you would be the one that has a chance to get with any of the girls in the party, but due to some poorly translated lines in your dialoge you would end up with a horde of yaoi fangirls shipping SuperbusXEaichu or something similar.

1. Either the rare specimen of an actually SMART RPG villain, or the mysterious badass who's mean to everyone for no good reason. Either way, you'd make the main character cry at least once.

2. It could go one of two ways - either the majority of the fandom will hate you save for a few fangirls with warped taste, or the majority of fandom will love you save for people who hate characters that everyone loves. This depends on if your character design ends up with a skinny body and hair down to his arse or not. :P

2. They'd probably hate your guts, but try to pair Cloud up with you when they get to the amusement park on Disc 1. XD

As for how you're treated in fandom... oh, hell. You're the Fandom Uke. XD

#1.) You're a mage that can speak several languages and acts as a double-agent for both sides that you work for. You take "no sides"...just your own.

#2.) Fangirls enjoy writing you out of their porn fanfics so that their original characters hook up with your insanely hot love interest. Chances are, you end up in more yuri fanfics than anything else.

#1.) The sweet, stalwart healer of the group that's always there to cheer the heroes on. Your powers could probably nuke the planet in an instant, and for that, the villains like chasing you...a LOT. You're the "key" to saving the world.

#2.) Girls hate you for being a weak character. Your dialogue is often trite and give you the IQ of a black hole. But the guys love you, and create a mass petition to have a sequel featuring you as the main heroine with less clothing and lots of guns!

I'm thinking the dedicated knight who does everything to advance the party's goals, and gets a tragic death halfway through the game.

A few jerks in fandom are all "yay the bitch died :D" but most of fandom is properly sad and respectful and writes nice tribute fics. The well-intentioned but not so skilled authors write implausible resurrection scenarios.
