I got fired today o_O
The company is moving into a more technical end, and they basically ran out of work for me to do. Plus I really wanted to do some sort of music-related thing, and didn't want to stay at a job for 12 hours a day, like they need someone to. So, I got fired, got my severance pay, and need to look on the bright side of things.
Bren starts work Monday, so financially we'll be ok. I feel terrible that I have to rely on him like this, though he said it wasn't a burden and he wanted to help. I always feel this need to prove that I can do things on my own, and when it comes to stuff like this I don't like taking help (as opposed to if my parents offer me a 20 or something). But I really appreciate it.
So, I need to figure out what the hell I'm doing. Hastily applying to grad school (not fiscally smart)? Hastily getting a random job (not emotionally smart)? Probably taking a week, hunting around, and hopefully finding something I ACTUALLY care about for once. And composing. And playing WoW.
Maybe this won't be THAT bad. As upset as I was/am, I'm pretty relieved. I hated going in to work without having anything to do. And now maybe I'll have the balls to really sit down and figure things out. Wish me luck :(
