Quick update
Took Jayden to his first doctor's appt on Monday. He's gained two pounds already. Unfortunately he has thrush, so we have to swab his mouth four times a day with this sticky liquid stuff. But now I know why it started to hurt so bad with breastfeeding, because the infection was transferred. He seems to like being bottle-fed better anyway.
We started last week with trying to get a pre-approval on a home loan. We want to get out of renting apartments. One mortgage company says I may need to do some credit clean-up though, because the highest credit score he could get for me was 592, but he also said the most of the things on my credit report were years and years old and once they go away, my score should go above 600. This is to get 100% financing. We've already got a place picked out that we would like to try to get. It's in Garland, in the same neighborhood as my Dad. It's a townhouse, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 1656 sq. ft. and they're asking $75,000 for it, so payments would be about the same as what we're paying now for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment at only around 1050 sq. ft. We've already been planning on what we would like to do to the place once it's ours. One way or another, we'll make this work out and get that townhouse, or something similar to it.
