Back to the grindstone

Mar 10, 2006 19:57

I know it's only been a week, but I start back to work on Sunday. Kind of. I'm not officially back on the schedule yet, but I've got orientation for two new hires that I'm doing Sunday morning, and then I'm picking up a shift to work for Sunday lunch.

Every one is thinking that I'm trying to rush things, but in reality, I'm trying to make things a lot less stressful. I can't sit at home and rest while worrying about how we're going to make ends meet and get all the bills paid this month. My future mother-in-law is being a great help. While she was in town last week, the day that Jayden was born, she handed us money which helped us make our car payment. And today she's sent money through Western Union which will help out a lot. I'm not going back fulltime yet. I just want to work a couple of short shifts a week to help out also. Besides, I have my painkillers. It's a good thing that I've been there for two and a half years and everything is ingrained into my brain, because the painkillers make me goofy.

It'll also give Brandon and Jayden time to spend together. Not like I'm able to even hold Jayden while Brandon's at home anyway, unless I'm breastfeeding him.

I'm going to hate being away from Jayden, but I hate worrying even more about finances.

I've got a couple of things to look forward to in the area of receiving money in the next several months. Possible new position with Brinker, and also there's a matter of an inheritance from my great-grandfather. Should things work out, I'll be happy to be able to relax as far as money goes.

Jayden's waking up, so time to go.
