Med school is bad for my mental health

Respiratory midterm today. I was having an ulcer earlier this week because I didn't think I was going to be ready, but I beat the mean for the test. And I'm one standard deviation above it.

The mean was 80pts, I got 88pts, with the sd at about 7 pts. I haven't seen the upside to the mean in a long time. The last time I beat the mean was in February, in the immunology section.

The written portion hasn't been graded yet, but even if I miss all the points for the written I will still pass the midterm.

I am so relieved that I passed though.

Now for the final in two weeks.

*headdesk*

I'm going to see my doctor on Monday about this damn cough that won't go away. My ribs hurt. :( I am also amused that I am having respiratory problems while we're studying it at school. lol

The one thing that I miss about undergraduate studies is that I all I needed to know for the exam was the general idea, and then I could reason out the answers on the exam. In med school, you have to know every freakin' detail if you even hope to push past 70%.

med school, yay
