Over in
naturalliving someone made a post:
I have heard some people here where we live complain about ingredients in the food they were buying and when they read it out to me, it turns out it wasn't some nasty chemical added to their food at all. It was just the scientific name for a vitamin or mineral.
*facepalm* That's the one thing that really irritates me about people who try to be "organic" or who have the "all science is bad" mentality. They have no clue what they're talking about (well, some, not all). I mean, do they not go research this shit when they make the decision to be "organic" or when they decide to cut back on processed food? When I went vegetarian over 9 years ago, I gave myself a crash course in nutrition. If you're so concerned with being "organic", wouldn't you want to research all the ingridents if your food, instead of assuming it's all bad? Now, if you want to avoid the added vitamins and minerals in foods, I have more respect if you know what you're talking about and understand how vitamin supplements aren't generally needed if you have a balanced diet. Though, I personally don't think it hurts, especially if you drink enough water.
I'm glad this person decided to point this out, but oy. lol
In happy news, MERLIN STARTS TOMORROW! I have also found a yummy recipie for baked tofu and stir fried squash, and apple bread (with crasins and walnuts!)
