Curse you, Murphy! Or Finagle! Whoever thought up that darned law of nature that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. At the worst possible moment.
So, yesterday-evening my computer was working just fine. I'd just copied all my files from my old one on to this new one, I'd been watching some series and chatting away with friends.
This morning I woke up, and pressed the on-button on the computer. It started normal enough, like it always did, but then my screen went blank. Nothing would show up. My optic mouse wasn't working, nor was my keyboard, nor was my screen. Somewhere in the booting process it just... stopped.
So my brother says my motherboard's probably broken. That sucks, since it can take up to a month to have that fixed. He's taken some stuff now to test at home to see if that's still working, but from this day, I'm out of a computer. Thank god I have no essays to finish that happen to be on that thing, but I do need a computer to study for my upcoming exam. And this one is slow and old and sucky. Ah well.
Other than that, I've been to Exodus last weekend and it was fun. I was an NPC as always, and had many different roles. Some were more fun than others, thanks to players not picking up on stuff and me losing hope they ever will and thus stop trying. Still I had a good time, and there were kittens to cuddle which was good.
I have an exam next week, and I should study, but today the guys building a new part of town across the street decided that this morning around 7:30 was a wonderful time to start driving piles into the ground right in front of our house. Seeing as I'd had trouble getting to sleep the night before, that wasn't really fun. I could feel the drones in my bed. *mutter* But I've survived that too. Couldn't study much as they kept at it all day, so instead I finished a dress I've been working on for a while.
I'll be really pissed if they're still at it tomorrow, since then I am planning to study. Ah well, we'll see what happens.
Good thing there's Disney-songs to cheer me up and get me through the day. *grin*
Signing off!
