wll removeing the caret wasent to hard. a hacksaw made quick work of it. ripping up the cardboard like upper floor layer now. looks like theres a 2 by 4 layer underneath that that i will have to scrub and disninfect to kill any possible mopld. thn put down another upper floor layer and then on to the dinning room under neath it.
