ok so right now i am watching a crazy 80's movie yay except that it has like nooo plot. it's like rob lowe is kind of hot goes to oxford except he's really stupid... and yes it like makes fun of british people and has like someone from the breakfast club in it which basically describes every 80's movie. and yes. so i wanted to talk about kevin jennings b/c it seems that is what everyone else is talking about and i figured i might as well share my opinion. ok for one thing. i am totally for gay rights (especially gay marriage,.. if you want to know any reasons just ask me i have alot to say about this). but yes. one problem i had w/ his speech is that gays (EXCEPT for marriages) aren't necessarily not represented (i don't mean this is the sense of people accepting gays etc. but i think that they totally deserve that) but in the sense of like how black people were prejudiced against for jobs and weren't allowed to vote etc. gay people are allowed to vote and they don'e have to disclose the fact that they are gay.... ie they don't have to have this part of thier life to necessarily affect the other part... okay this is all speculation. if anyone has a different opinion or if anyone who is gay has some opinion of how this affects them then i would be curious... and yes ok in a perfect world they would be perfectly comfortable to tell everyone that they are gay but i guess my point is that unlike racism, it's not something that immediately you will no about someone. ok yes. another problem i have... women aren't a minority i am so confused. i know that women are discriminated against but they aren't a minority. urgh. sorry this frustrates me. ok yes sorry i don't want to start problems here. but i think that some people who are actual against gay people are embarrassed and so they say things that show that they don't think that they are equal and then say oh im not against gay people. but that doesn't make any sense. sorry this isn't about anyone in particular but i was listening to the radio a while ago and the stupidest people were on there talking about oh im not against gays but i don't want them to get married because then their values will trickle down to my children??? ok what the hell people gay people getting married won't make your children be gay it just means that they IF they do turn out to be gay than they will grow up in a world that accepts them and not that discriminates against them. wouldn't you rather have your children grow up free to be and do what they want instead of lying about who they are because it doesn't necessarily fit your ideas of what is "right"? ok yes sorry getting worked up and mad at the badness of this crazy 80's movie about like crew? no way i row alone. sorry has anyone seen oxford blues? in other words called the worst movie ever. sorry but they are all really bad actors and it's soooo obvious what's going to happen. so yes any responses on the whole thing i was talking about earlier? or anything else. it makes me happy to get comments.
