PurimGifts letter

Dear Writer,

First of all, thank you for writing for me! I'm very easy to please, fic-wise, so I hope the assignment will not cause you any worries. :) I've been rather vague with the optional details in this letter, but if you prefer to have more information, I've discussed some of these fandoms in my previous letters for various exchanges--they can be found in a tag on my journal.

The only things I'd like to ask you to avoid, since can be potentially triggering for me, are: gaslighting and partner abuse, be it physical or emotional, as well as using weapons (knives, guns) in a sexual context (though competent handling of weapons outside of sex is a-okay).

Arrow
Favourite characters: Felicity, Sara.
I love how the show started as a ridiculous comic book adaptation, and became a story about found families, amazing women and character growth. And in Sara's case, I think Ra's al-Ghul should totally count as an evil vizier. ;)

Elementary
Favourite characters: Joan, Moriarty, Ms. Hudson, Clyde.
I love Joan's everything, and especially the fact that she's probably the only Watson to never put up with Sherlock's terrible ideas--and that the Holmes/Watson relationship is finally a balanced partnership here. Irene is amazing, and I love that she really is a fully fleshed-out character and did not become a stereotypical villain, and that she stays an antagonist rather than getting a redemption arc. Ms. Hudson is marvellous, but shows up way too rarely--I hope that means she has way more things going on in her life than just being Holmes's acquaintance.

Secret Avengers
Favourite characters: Valkyrie, Natasha, Bobbi.
I loved this comic when it was ridiculous spy shenanigans and would love to see that spirit come back to it. But stories in the way darker vein of the recent volume would be welcome too--I would just prefer that the ethical and consent issues are not treated as lightly as in canon.

Good Wife
Favourite characters: Alicia, Kalinda, Eli.
Alicia is brilliant and she got even better once she got out of Lockhart Gardner--her newly antagonistic relationship with Will has been so great, especially how well they know each other and how ingeniously they can use that knowledge against each other. Kalinda is always a delight, but especially if she's scarily competent (or smashing people's cars with a baseball bat ;) ). Eli's political machinations are always enjoyable, but with a little bit of effort he could probably be an evil vizier. Come to think of it, that might make an entertaining story too.
