Anyone have a favorite gospel song?
Especially one that would go well with my voice?
Fcs is doing this "drag gospel brunch" on September 25. I've been planning to be in it. But I need a gospel song. One that I can actually sing.
I'm also supposed to be in drag for this. But the organizer said I don't actually have to sing like a man. (I've tried that. It hurt.) :-) I'm a bit nervous because I have no clue how to be a drag king. But that's another problem. What I need now is a song.
fabrisse I'm especially looking at you. But maybe there are others out there who have some thoughts?
Yes, I know, I should have been worrying about this when the event was announced, over two months ago.
I proposed the Nina Simone song "Feeling Good", but the organizer rejected it because it's not actually gospel. He said if it doesn't mention God, it should at least mention peace or justice or the environment or something else uplifting.
I'm really out of my depth here.
