Yippee!
You gotta love Missouri weather. One of the things that completely fascinates me is MO weather in Spring and Summer. You can expect at least one thunderstorm almost every day. It will be completely sunny, then WHAM! Thunder, lightening, the whole barrage. Fifteen minutes later, it's sunny and beautiful, and the rain is literally steaming in air, boiled off by the hot pavement. I love the time right after these thunderstorms. The heat is heavy and oppressive. The thunderstorm moves through, and the air is almost cool for about a half-hour, until the steam permeates the atmosphere. Now, if you all don't mind, I'm going to open my blinds and crawl into my loft, because the best way to enjoy a MO instant thunderstorm is at night, in bed and with popcorn.
