One more day...
And one more practical exam. Then 4 weeks of nothing (except work)! There will be 4 days of visiting in Toronto and a promise to see a movie on the 25th but other than that? Nothing! Lots and lots of pajama wearing. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this break.
I've grown really attached to my group in my program. My prof was telling us over breakfast this morning that they are going to split us all up next term and we're ridiculously sad. We've sort of self-dubbed ourself as the keener group. In the first year group this year there were 46 students, two groups of 23. The other group has lost more than half of their students. We've lost four or five out of ours. By the time we make it to second year, they expect we'll be down under twenty and won't have to be split up. I am slightly concerned at the drop-out rate. Is that normal in college?
I'm doing ok, though. I haven't got any of my final grades yet of course but I feel like I may have B's all across the board. There was a minor meltdown or two along the way but I've mostly kept my head. I've also turned everything in on time and not missed a day except the week I was down with swine flu.
Talk about a turnaround. I guess I was finally ready to take steps on the road to a "real job", if you can call writing real.
