The Labour Party is coming back to what they do best. They are tearing themselves apart. As far as my optimism goes, I don't see them staying in power after the next election.
Harriet Harman, whatever she is saying, is placing herself for a leadership contest. Her denial is the classic formula not to appear disloyal. If she however manages her coup and does so within the next year, then we might well have another woman prime minister. My guesses are though that she will become a female leader-in-opposition, a la Margaret Thatcher '75-'79...
