The Tenth Apland: Keepers of the Cinder-Rose Chapter 11 pt.1
Welcome back to the Apland legacy! Where it's not just your typical legacy… I mean who lets the marriage of the founders fall apart… yep that's how it's done here. Also, can I just mention how totally epic this cover is! If you can't tell… I just bought Showtime, so ya'll will get to see some of that this chapter. I don't think I have any more rambling to do, so let's get this show on the road!
We start this chapter off with Capri deciding to skip school. She got sick of having the other kids at school asking if she was the sister of that "mean bully" that was always talking about stealing all their candy. So she played hooky and wandered around downtown. She ran into this street performer magician.
Magician: "Watch and behold what your eyes have never beholden before…"
Magician: "Wala!"
Magician: "Fiddlesticks. The flowers were supposed to be alive…"
Random Vamp: "So is this guy any good?"
Capri: "Naw, he pretty much sucks."
Random Vamp: "Darn, that's too bad. I was really hoping to see some real magic."
Capri: "Excuse me… but you look really familiar… Aren't you in a movie or something?"
Random Vamp: "You might be surprised how often I get that. But no I'm not an actor, I'm actually a doctor. And no my name isn't Carlisle…"
Capri decided to step inside and try out the new karaoke machine.
Capri: "And I was like baby, baby, baby, oh \ Like baby, baby, baby, no \ Like baby, baby, baby, oh \ I thought you'd always be mine, mine."
Back at home… Noel had gotten off work and decided to take advantage of the fact that Cruz wasn't yet off work, and talk to Morgan about their issues.
Noel: "Morgan, I just don't know what to do. I mean, I know somewhere deep down I still love him, if he would stop all this cheating bullshit. And then I think of the kids and I would feel terrible if I divorced him because they need their daddy in their life. Everything is just so screwed up right now, I don't know what to do anymore."
Morgan: "Well if you want my advice: I say, don't dump him. Your problems seem to have started after you got back from your trip to Paris.. Maybe you left your love there! Why don't you two go back to France and see if you still don't have that spark?!"
Noel: "That's a great idea!"
Alden saw/met this pretty young thing at school, and like a creeper, decided to follow her home.
Alden: She's so pretty… what if she doesn't like me?!
Alden: "Hi, Rusty, right? I'm Alden, I saw that you were new at school today and thought I'd stop by and see how your first day went. Everyone could use a friend, right!"
Rusty: "Wow, that's so nice of you, Alden."
Alden: "Well, I try…"
Alden: "So I have this master plan that will make me rich… I could really use sidekick.. er.. accomplice… whatya say?"
Rusty: "Well, what's this plan of yours?"
Alden: "Well it's top secret, so I can't say too much… but it involves stealing all the candy from the children of Appaloosa Plains…"
Rusty: "That sounds evil!"
Alden: "Well… I guess that's kind of the point… But if that's not your thing, I understand."
Rusty: "No! Evil is definitely my thing!"
Alden: "Really? Mine too!"
Rusty: "Awesome. Well I guess I'll see you at school then…"
Alden: "See you at school… wait! What about the accomplice thing? Are you in?"
Rusty: "I guess we'll just have to wait and see…"
The girls came home late from school and found Morgan and Noel still discussing plans.
Noel: "Why are you girls home so late?"
Bernadette: "That's not what matters… you and Dad are going on vacation together?!"
Capri: "Well see you later! You and Dad have fun on vacation together! And come back in-love, why don't ya!"
At that moment, Cruz walked in.
Cruz: "What's going on here?"
Noel: "I was just telling Morgan, and the girls overheard, that I thought it would be fun for us to go on another trip to France. I was planning on bringing it up to you…"
Cruz: "There you go again! You always have to bring other people into our problems!"
Noel: "It's not that big of a deal, Cruz."
Cruz: "Well you should have talked to me about it first! And now you're making me look bad in front of the girls again! Why must you always do that!"
Noel: "Whatever, Cruz. We're done here. We can talk about this later, if I even still want to do this."
Cruz: "I don't understand! How am I always the bad guy?!"
Alden: "Mwuahaha.. My family is just so dysfunctional and miserable.. It's positively wonderful!"
After pretty much everyone cleared the kitchen and went to bed, Mistletoe went into labor and gave birth to a litter of kittens.
Well… idk if it can be considered a litter when there is only one kitten. But either way, meet Nativity Apland! She's a good mix of both her parents.
The next evening, Alden invited Rusty over to discuss their plans… because she had agreed to become his evil accomplice.
Alden: "Just so you know, my parents are kind of going through a rough patch in the marriage, and they are constantly fighting. You should have seen the drama that happened here last night, it was awesome!"
Rusty: "Oh perfect! I love watching others' misfortune!"
Alden: "I thought you would."
Alden: "I know we're just accomplices and all… but this weekend is Prom… and I was wondering if maybe you would want to go with me?"
Rusty: "Well I'm not totally sure if I'm gonna go… Dances are so lame, but If I go, I'd love to be your date."
Alden: "Cool. Well you should totally think about it because there are so many awesome pranks that we could pull at that dance."
This is just an awkward transitional screenpic to show that Bernadette still paints.
Alden: "How am I ever supposed to get laid when my bedroom looks like a little girls, or worse a nursery. If I explain to the chicas that it actually used to be a nursery and that my parents never redecorated… she definitely won't do the naughty with me because she'll be afraid of getting pregnant."
Meanwhile, downstairs…
Noel: "Cruz, I really think we should at least talk about this whole vacation thing to France. I mean, what could it hurt?"
Cruz: "Idk… maybe our marriage!"
Noel: "No, fuel! You're the one that screwed that up!... But that's not the issue. Our kids are the issue. We need to try and fix this, if not for us, then for our kids."
Cruz: "You're right, they deserve better than this…"
Cruz: "Let's do this then. For the kids. Let's go to France."
Noel: "Great, I'll make the call."
Noel: "Hi… yes I'd like two round-trip tickets to Champs Les Sims, France. Yes, thankyou."
Alden: Wow, Mom and Dad are actually doing this…
Alden: "I guess that means party at my house!"
Yeah, other than the fact that Morgan is still going to be around.
The Trip went well…
They were able to put their feelings out there:
Noel: "I just don't understand how we got here… I mean how could you cheat on me like that?!"
They fought.
There were apologies… mostly on his part.
They fought some more.
Tourist: Well this isn't awkward at all…
But then they were able to talk, without as much fighting, and get to know each other again.
Then there was a little flirting…
,,and flower giving…
..and kissing…
Things were looking up.
And then Cruz decided to propose to Noel (again). (Because apparently somewhere along the line, without my knowing they actually spit-up)
Noel: "Oh, Cruz, I'm so sorry, but I can't do this. Not yet, anyway. Let's slow down, no need to rush back into things. Let's take it slow, build our trust back up before we get married again."
Cruz: "Okay, if that's what you want…"
Noel: "Cruz, don't cry."
Cruz: "It's just… I really screwed things up bad."
Well at least he feels bad for it…
But none of that stopped them from enjoying some makeup woohoo.
And that was France the second time for Noel and Cruz.
On his first day back from France, Cruz managed the get a promotion - a ninth and final promotion - and fulfilled his life time wish of becoming a Star News Anchor.
And with the reward points he got, he purchased a "Dusty Old Lamp"… hmmm I wonder what will happen if he rubs it…
Oh look, it's a genie! I never would have guessed.
Sheryl the Genie: "Well, you summoned me?"
Cruz: "That'd be me…"
Sheryl: "Well… are you new to the whole genie thing, or do I have to explain it to you?"
Cruz: "Do I get three wishes?"
Sheryl: "Sounds like you've got the gist. You can summon me whenever you are ready to make a wish. Chow."
That night, Alden invited Rusty over again.
Alden: "You know Rusty, you are so pretty and your lips are just so kissable."
Rusty: "Alden, that's hardly accomplice-appropriate…"
Rusty: "But I don't mind…"
Alden: "You don't?"
Rusty: "Not at all…"
Alden: "In that case…"

They are so cute together!
Bernadette: "Why isn't Alden at our new family dinner night?"
Caprice: "Yeah, can we even call it that, without him?"
Cruz: "Why hasn't that boy come in yet? Do you guys think he got eaten by a yetti!"
Bernadette: "Dad, yetti's don't exist."
Caprice: "Besides… he's out there with some girl…"
Noel: "Come on you guys, leave poor Alden alone."
Aww look, they're sleeping together again…
