If I knew how to get Greek characters I'd put it in Greek too, not that I remember the Greek alphabet anymore.
Anyway, I learned fairly quickly as a kidney patient (and probably any chronic condition) that you need to know yourself. You need to know the standard ranges of vitals and responses; if anything goes outside the norm you either have to do something about it or report it to the appropriate people.
The problem with this is that for me at least it results in hypochondria--is this normal? do I have to worry about it?--and hyperawareness of yourself. It can be exhausting. Especially with renal failure, you have to consider every occasion of vomiting and wonder if it's just random, or if it's the flu, or maybe the first symptom of peritonitis. If I'd called the nurses every time I saw my meal a second time they'd have gotten tired of me real fast.
I think after Young Frankenstein finishes I need to break out the eye candy movies... the coffee doesn't seem to be doing much anymore (currently on the third cup).
