Last weekend was quite the Goth-fest for me. I actually had four "costume changes" throughout the weekend.
The fest began with Plague's anniversary on Friday night, and lots of good music spun by DJ Darkhart, Dehuman8 and 8-bit. The night was wonderful, though I had to pass on the tasty-looking cupcakes.
The next day was Goth Fly A Kite. J9 did the first shift, then left after Thor's appearance. Then I came along and stayed until the sun threatened to come out, which would not be good for my pasty complexion. And coincidentally met someone with a Thor derivative in their name. How synchronistic!
That evening I managed to drag myself out yet again to the Goth Fly A Kite Afterparty. Though the music was good (I loved hearing Miss Kitten's "Professional Distortion") and many familiar folks were there, I found myself feeling a bit tired, and left after an hour or so.
The next day, I continued to keep with the Goth theme, and the damp weather allowed me a chance to wear my favorite black velvet outfit one more time before the summer heat makes that impossible. Of course my niece was also wearing black, so Auntie Doomsday didn't seem so out of place. ;-)
Here are some pics of my outfit changes... Of course it was Siouxsie's birthday week, so I had to dress accordingly!
